Over the last three years, we’ve been trying to find your Best of the Bunch from each of the competing Eurovision nations. We’ve been recapping the entries from 2006 to 2015, and then giving you, the fans an opportunity to vote for which act you think is the Best of the Bunch! These polls are ongoing, and will continue to be ongoing, as we know favourites can change over time, but now we want to create the ultimate ‘Eurovision’ based on your Best of the Bunch from each of the nations!
Today we’re going to be showing the first 12 participants in what would be our ‘Ultimate’ Eurovision as decided by you!
Portugal
Between our Best of the Bunch years, Portugal have had some questionable performances, from Nonstop in 2006 to Homens de Luta in 2011. Despite that, the nation has sent some beautiful songs over the years, and you decided that Vania Fernandes is your Best of the Bunch with the song Senhora do Mar.

Germany
Like Portugal, Germany doesn’t always have luck at the contest, especially before the turn of the 2010’s, but of course we all know that Lena won Eurovision with the song Satellite back in 2010. You decided that your Best of the Bunch was Lena, but it was her 2011 defending entry which you preferred over her winning entry Satellite, although the vote is still close!

Malta
Malta is again one of those hit or miss Eurovision nations, and it shows in their qualification history. They’ve had some big cheesy pop numbers and some huge ballads, and everything in between, but you decided that it’s Gianluca who is your Best of the Bunch! His song Tomorrow is sugary sweet, but it seems it’s not just us with the addiction!

Albania
Albania are a powerful nation at Eurovision, and even though they don’t always make it to the final, they always send commendable songs. We’ve definitely got our favourites from over the years, but you, the voters decided that Elhaida Dani is your Best of the Bunch! Here’s her Eurovision entry, I’m Alive:

Georgia
Georgia first participated in 2007, and missed out on 2009, so they’re down a few entries but they make up for it with the diversity of their competing entries. We’ve got the ethno entries, we’ve got ballads and even rock, but which was your Best of the Bunch? It’s Nina Sublatti with her song Warrior!

Turkey
We miss Turkey at Eurovision, and looking through their previous entries has made us miss them even more! As you know the last participation of Turkey was in 2012, so we had to end our Best of the Bunch journey early, but from the songs we recapped, your Best of the Bunch is Hadise! Greece
Greece is one of the most consistent nations at Eurovision, with each of the entries between our Best of the Bunch years qualifying for the final. With such strong entries, it’s hard for us to pick just one favourite, but you all voted, and your Best of the Bunch is Kalomira with her song Secret Combination!

Belarus
Belarus always manages to surprise us every year, and looking back on the previous entries really shows us the diversity of the Belarusian songs. It’s a close vote, but your current Best of the Bunch is Uzari and Maimuna, who performed their entry Time back in 2015!

Ireland
Ireland haven’t had the best run at Eurovision lately, with only a handful of song qualifying, and if they do, they haven’t placed too well in the final. Despite that, there are certainly some gems in the group, and you decided that Jedward is your Best of the Bunch with the first Eurovision entry, Lipstick.

Israel
Israel are surely one of the most adaptable Eurovision nations, as they are more than capable of sending an incredibly ballad, but also an ethno-bop! It was a tough field of acts because there were so many great entries, but you decided that your current Best of the Bunch is Nadav Guedj with his entry Golden Boy!

FYR Macedonia
They haven’t been the most successful nation of late, but FYR Macedonia certainly gives it a red hot go year after year. Some songs have been memorable for good reasons, but others for all the wrong reasons, but you have all decided that Kaliopi is your current Best of the Bunch with her song Crno I Belo!

Switzerland
Switzerland is one of those nations that have taken a little while to get back into their Eurovision groove, with some pretty interesting entries over the years *cough cough, DJ Bobo* but they’ve also had some gems. The voters decided that Sebalter is the current Best of the Bunch with the song Hunter of Stars!
